I attended a Humanist "celebration of a life" after the death of a well loved and greatly respected friend. His service was dignified, celebrated every aspect of his life and beliefs and it united a group of diverse people for a short moment in time. The aftereffect has remained for several years and it was the best goodbye I have ever been a part of.

Nice site. But does it have to be so "blue"? Content-wise, not quite what I (as a philosopher-ess) understand by "humanism". But it fits.

I would just like to say a thank you to Pam MacDonald for the wonderful service she provided at the funeral of my Father recently. She really helped our family through a very difficult time. Thanks again Pam.

Things have improved in Scotland since I left with the bloody Orange and Green blokes barking at each other.
By the way, what kind of god would crucify his own son?
